Bill Zapf was paralyzed in a hockey accident up in the Great White North. The former hockey player, skydiver, and bungee jumper has always had a love for comedy and has been making people laugh his entire life. He has won numerous comedy competitions and recently finished top 4 in the 2013 “Florida's Funniest Comedian” competition, a competition judged by industry experts. Rosie O’Donnell saw him perform and asked him to be her opener, and he has toured throughout Florida with her in 2014 and has been heard on SiriusXM Radio. His light but edgy, and most often twisted approach towards his disability and life as a husband and father of 5 will keep you laughing. "Being in a chair, I can draw on some experiences most comedians don't know about," he says. "I'm a married man and we're raising five kids, and there's my disability, so there's a lot I can talk about." His material ranges from topical humor to the trials and tribulations as a husband and father to 5 in today's society with a definite sarcastic style. "He has the great ability to make the audience feel comfortable with him. He has that unteachable ability to get the audience to like him and care about him and what he has to say," says Les McCurdy, owner of McCurdy’s Comedy Club in Sarasota. He will answer all the questions you were too scared to ask but were dying to hear. Book now for your club, family, corporate, hospital, or event! He even does childrens parties....if you want to raise really bad children.
